Credit Controller

Job Description
  • Actively seek the payment of all overdue credit balances via telephone, email and post
  • Proactively managing all credit accounts to reduce bad debt potential
  • Proactively manage credit accounts to reduce the outstanding number of overdue arrears days to within agreed credit terms
  • Respond to and resolve all queried sales invoices
  • Immediate and accurate allocation of payments received against credit accounts
  • Receive and review all new credit account applications in accordance with company policy, opening accounts where possible
  • Operate direct debit function within credit control to ensure that payments are received at the correct time and that all direct debits legal requirements are met
  • Produce an aged debtors report on a weekly basis with detailed information of current action for bad debtors
  • Input sales invoices onto various customer portals on a timely basis
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve complex queries

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful you will have previous experience within a Credit Control role from the set up of new accounts, chasing outstanding debt and allocation of cash. You will be a confident communicator and be able to manage the sales ledger autonomously and build excellent working relationships with both customers and key internal stakeholders alike.
