Actively seek the payment of all overdue credit balances via telephone, email and post
Proactively managing all credit accounts to reduce bad debt potential
Proactively manage credit accounts to reduce the outstanding number of overdue arrears days to within agreed credit terms
Respond to and resolve all queried sales invoices
Immediate and accurate allocation of payments received against credit accounts
Receive and review all new credit account applications in accordance with company policy, opening accounts where possible
Operate direct debit function within credit control to ensure that payments are received at the correct time and that all direct debits legal requirements are met
Produce an aged debtors report on a weekly basis with detailed information of current action for bad debtors
Input sales invoices onto various customer portals on a timely basis
Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve complex queries

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful you will have previous experience within a Credit Control role from the set up of new accounts, chasing outstanding debt and allocation of cash. You will be a confident communicator and be able to manage the sales ledger autonomously and build excellent working relationships with both customers and key internal stakeholders alike.
