Key responsibilities

• Provide rudimentary domain knowledge to support delivery in specialised areas of testing.
• Implement Test Plans for testing requirements
• Write, implement and execute automated tests using a framework of industry tools
• Provide support and mentoring to more junior staff re test automation
• Contribute to overall Test Plans for more complex requirements.
• Develop detailed Test Cases and Test Scripts, including expected results, in line with the Test Strategy and Plan.
• Create appropriate test data for proving execution of test requirements.
• Document and verify test results.
• Raise and record details of incidents encountered during testing.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Have an understanding of, and is able to articulate: Test Management Responsibilities of the Test Analyst Test Techniques Agile and Scrum Techniques Testing Software Quality Characteristics Reviews Defect Management Test Automation Frameworks Test Tools Experience in using common business technology (for example, Office 365 suite) Experience of writing and executing test cases using test automation frameworks Knowledge and experience using two or more test tools, techniques or methods: SQL (for example; production of complex scripts to query a relational database) C#, Java and/or JavaScript (for example; construction of driver scripts for automation tools) Cucumber or other automation framework (for the implementation and creation of automation framework for clients and/or projects)
