Job Description

Strategic duties include:

• Full responsibility of managing a debtor ledgers across multiple brands within the Group
• Production of daily, weekly and month DSOs and aged debtor reporting to the Head of Finance
• Liaising with both internal and external customers with escalated issues to ensure good relationships and timely resolution of queries.
• Monitoring credit limits and account maintenance to minimise business risk.
• Managing write-offs, bad debt provisions, and setting up of payment plans
• Producing client statements, sending reminders, and following the credit control process progressing to LBA procedures
• Review and implement process improvement measures and change management to increase effectiveness/productivity.
• Schedule weekly meetings to review ledgers and productivity within the team
• Working alongside management to introduce new targets and KPIs
• Maintaining client relations and ensuring all correspondences are of very high standard

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential experience includes: Submitting the monthly Direct Debit files Maintaining and updating all customers’ payment methods Monitoring and actioning all credit control emails and requests Reporting on outstanding debt and minimise where possible Chasing customer for outstanding payments Sending out weekly reminder letters and emails Notifying and barring non-paying customers Setting up payment plans Reconciling bank payments Liaising with Account Mangers and Sales Person Specification: Proven experiences in collections, process improvement and accurate reporting Strong negotiation skills and meticulous with detail Ability to work SMART, calm under pressure and make decisions confidently Team player, proactive in approach and shows initiative and creativity Excellent IT skills including Outlook, Word and Excel Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills ICM Qualification would be advantageous
