Job Description

This role will be based on one of our prestigious Edinburgh sites. You will be responsible for managing the construction of our developments ensuring that our targets are met regarding health and safety, delivery to build programme quality, customers care, and cost.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Health and safety for yourself and those around you
  • Liaise and report to the Contracts Manager on internal finishing issues including programme, resourcing, safety, quality and cost issues etc.
  • Coordinate interface with subcontractors and other trades
  • Certify the quality of completed works at pre agreed hold points / stages
  • Correspond with subcontractors on all issues including, for example, contractual notices, progress, logistics, health and safety and quality
  • Ensure provision of information for inclusion in the health and safety file
  • Chair and record weekly progress meetings
  • Manage, monitor and report progress against agreed programme
  • Ensure resolution of technical queries / RFI’s in a timely manner
  • Monitor on site quality standards to ensure minimum standards are achieved
  • Report on a weekly basis to the Contracts Manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
With a passion for high quality finishes, you will have proven previous experience of managing and assisting all trades in achieving a high-quality finish. Ideally, candidates will have a detailed knowledge of all aspects of the housebuilding process including all relevant legislative requirements e.g. health and safety, Building Regulations and NHBC requirements.
