Job Description

This will be a varied role involving the preparation of year end statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, (review of) bookkeeping, tax compliance, liaising with HMRC and dealing with client queries. A good working knowledge of cloud accountancy software such as Xero or QuickBooks is desirable.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified, ACCA/ ACA part qualified/ recently qualified or qualified by experience with a background in accountancy practice.

Salary is dependent on experience, full study support is optional and our client is offering an excellent remuneration package and flexible working hours for the right individual. Part time will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Corporation tax computations
• Preparation/ review of VAT returns & bookkeeping
• Preparation of management accounts
• Liaising with HMRC
• Training clients on accountancy software
• Dealing with ad hoc client queries
