You will work closely with managers, partners and the wider business and carve a role within the team, developing technical skills, with increasing responsibility, client contact and development within the role and firm, as you develop.
Key areas of responsibility:
Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders up to the audit threshold.
Preparing tax computations across both personal and corporate tax
Providing bookkeeping services.
Filing HM Revenue & Customs documents on client's behalf.
Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date.
Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns.
Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
Drafting correspondence for clients; liaising with HMRC, by telephone and email.
Providing varied administrative and business set-up services for clients.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You may be an any of an AAT qualified technician, looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT, or studying ACCA/ ACA, or lastly, suitably experienced only in your career so far. As a necessity, you will have experience working within an accountancy practice, with anything from around 2 - 4 years or considerably more experience, within practice, preparing accounts, bookkeeping and undertaking other accountancy practice responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, as an Accounts Technician / Senior.
