Job Description

As an Accounts Senior your role will involve be varied and will see you dealing with a wide array of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a range of business sectors with the workload being diverse. This will include the preparation of statutory and management accounts, as well as the associated corporation and personal tax computations and returns. You will also oversee the completion of bookkeeping work, the preparation of VAT returns, and the processing of client payroll.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a varied general practice role and may be ACCA / ACA Qualified or Qualified by Experience.

This position would allow for flexible working hours and can be undertaken on either a full or part time basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies
• Preparation of management accounts & cash flow statements
• Preparation of tax computations, CT600s & self-assessment returns completion
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Liaise with clients on accounts and tax queries as required
• Training junior staff members
• Reviewing junior staff members work
• Bookkeeping services and supervision/training of book-keepers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Qualified by experience. Experience of working in practice is essential. An up-to-date knowledge of all relevant accounting standards. Strong accounting software experience (Xero experience s highly beneficial).
