Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead your team to deliver exceptional day to day operational performance, whilst always maintaining appropriate safety and quality standards
  • Enable jobs (Leakage / DOMS), as they are issued from client
  • Proactively manage CAT usage via the portal
  • Deliver compelling and thought provoking toolbox talks / briefings
  • Manage working hours and ensuring timesheets are correct
  • Manage customer complaints / queries and drive a customer focused culture across your teams
  • Provide coaching, operational & technical support to prevent / proactively manage and resolve any event / incident.
  • Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to ensure operational risk is managed effectively.
  • Promote and drive continual improvement – encourage your teams to come up with innovative ideas.
  • Create a 'right first time culture'
  • Approve and review contractor method statements and the issue of necessary Health and Safety documentation.
  • Prepare and review risk assessments.
  • Undertake regular safety audits / audits of work activity.
  • Identify safety hazards and ensure controls are implemented.
  • Ensure that all your team members have the appropriate training to be compliant and to ensure competency in their work.
  • Promote near miss / hazard spots reporting and ensure issues raised are resolved and lessons learned are shared to embed a positive health and safety culture to include zero harm and zero utility strikes.
  • Minimise the risk of fatigue and other well- being issues for the assigned teams.
  • Carry out post safety incident review investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Fleet legislation and Company standards, processes and policy.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of clean water networks and previous leakage experience are both vital, along with a NRSWA accreditation, DOMS / Water Hygiene card, SSSTS or equivalent and a Cat and Genny certification. We are also keen to see applications from those with experience of managing & coaching, good commercial awareness and a capable user of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
