Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and be based in our Edinburgh office. The overall purpose of the role is to prepare and submit tenders on behalf of the company with a view to securing new commercial and residential projects.

Job Duties:

Preparing and submitting estimates and tenders

Issue, analysis and monitoring of sub-contractor packages

Assist with pricing

Measuring of quantities as required

Researching material and labour costs

Tracking changes to the projects design and adjusting costs accordingly

Assessing the projects level of risk

Assist in preparing order documentation

Monitoring payments and final accounts to sub-contractors

Receiving and assessing applications for payment

Submitting contract valuations and support agreement of final account

Communicating with clients, architects, sub-contractors

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous Experience as a Quantity Surveyor RICS Degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying Experience of both residential and commercial projects is preferred Excellent analytical and IT skills Attention to detail with a methodical approach to work Planning and Organising skills Negotiation and Communication skills
