Job Description

Reporting to the Stations and Depots Team Leader as an Assistant Engineer you will provide design delivery on a variety of building and civil engineering led multi-disciplinary projects within the rail environment. As we operate in such a diverse marketplace, you will gain an experience of working on a wide and varied portfolio of projects which will enhance your skills and test your technical knowledge.

You will be a key technical team member in the York Rail bridges design team, responsible for and involved in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, time-frame and quality targets, meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or Structural engineering
• Working toward Incorporated or Chartered Status of a relevant institution

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will have a gained design experience within a building structures or civil engineering consultancy business Experience preparing design deliverables using structural or civil engineering design software packages Experience of working within teams of engineers and directing BIM modellers to complete project designs and deliverables
