Job Description

We require an individual to assist in the design and detailing of highway and drainage works associated with a variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sector.

Projects typically range in size from £1m to £100m schemes covering inter alia defence, transport, infrastructure, healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and residential development. You will work as part of a team on technical aspects including preparing designs, specification, technical approval submissions and site supervision.

The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to enrol on the WYG ICE Training Scheme with a view to attaining C Eng or I Eng MICE in due course.

Whilst based in Leeds or Manchester, the projects are UK wide and some travel would be expected on occasion, include working outside normal office hours.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Educated to degree level or equivalent in the field of Civil Engineering and eligible for C Eng or I Eng MICE. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and an ability to deliver work on time. Technical knowledge of AutoCad and Civils 3D desirable Commitment to encouraging good Health and Safety practices within the workplace and within design. Good organisational skills Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility and versatility. Have a desire to build upon your existing experience, continuing your professional development with WYG. Hold a full UK Driving License. Security Clearance to minimum SC level preferable (or be suitable and willing to apply for clearance essential).
