Job Description

• Annual and Interim Financial Statements and manage the Group audit process
• Subsidiary statutory accounts
• Preparation of Audit papers and inputs for presentations
• Researching accounting treatments and write papers on expected impact to the Group
• Monthly Group consolidation and management accounts - forecast and actual
• Review submissions of Global Business Unit finance teams
• Board pack preparation
• Manage the Group annual budgeting process
• Provide technical accounting and reporting support to local finance teams

A listed international manufacturing organisation based in Central London who has been recognised as industry leaders and great employers has recently gone through a strategic move at group level. This has resulted in the need for a senior group accountant to join and support them on a 6 month interim basis.

The senior group accountant will play a key part in complementing the quality of the group finance team in this high-profile role. The role would suit a qualified chartered Accountant with 1-2 years PQE industry experience. This role will allow you to apply your management and financial reporting experience into a high profile role with a business making a strategic move.

Skills/experience

• Qualified CA / ACA / ACCA, newly qualified or with 1-2 years PQE
• Consolidation Experience of multi-currency consolidation
• Demonstrable capability to analyse and report data including advanced excel skills
• Strong understanding of control environment, business processes and systems
• Technical but practical ability to apply sound judgement to accounting situations / questions
• Financial reporting - IFRS & UK GAAP
• Systems: Excel advanced (essential); A consolidation tool, e.g. Hyperion

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
