My client is a smaller, yet growing, business in the housing sector. They are based near Kingston and have a new and exciting role they need to fill asap.
Job Description
The role will involve:
Reporting to the FD and managing two finance assistants
Responsible for the financial performance including budget preparation and financial reporting for all entities
Statutory and management accounting
Ensure all accounts are reconciled
Prepare rent and service charge budgets
Ensure that transaction processing, including fixed asset registers, rent accounting, debtor invoicing and the bought ledger, are accurate and timely meeting the needs of the organisation
Liaise with external auditors
Ensure payroll and pension schemes are administered correctly
preparing and presenting reports to key stakeholders and the board
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must:
Have housing experience
Have knowledge of rental budgets and service charging accounting
Be able to start at short notice
Be studying towards a professional qualification - AAT, CIMA or ACCA
Be interested ina longer term role - there is a chance to progress and go permanent
