Job Description

Answer customer enquiries via phone and email to deliver technical information, support, and impartial advice to colleagues, external customers and end users.Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written, whilst showing patience to deliver and resolve difficult queries, maintaining a professional attitude.

  • Answer customer enquiries via phone and email to deliver technical information, support, and impartial advice to colleagues, external customers and end users.
  • Undertake investigations in response to customer enquiries including manufacturing & quality issues
  • Perform testing of a product to check it is ok compared against retained samples, within its shelf life, and/or fit for the purpose it is being used. Troubleshoot and take ownership of any possible problems and conclude to a resolution.
  • Develop knowledge of technical services department through training and understanding of all Everbuild / Feb / Sika products in these ranges sold from Leeds together with the business policies concerning the Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Look to identify opportunities to reduce costs and contribute towards the Technical Service Department's budgetary compliance.
  • Accurately record, present & analyse all data in accordance with the department's procedures & protocols, including maintaining confidentiality as appropriate & safeguarding Sika's intellectual property.
  • Contribute positively to the image and perception of Everbuild Technical Service Department by helping to generate a culture where innovation, creativity & continuous improvement prevails.
  • Work in accordance with the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures of both the business & the Technical Service Department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Has experience of dealing with a varied customer base both internal and external to the business Excellent communications skills, with the ability to remain calm and controlled under pressure Respond to customer queries in a professional courteous manner Experience of DIY / Construction industry product would be advantageous Knowledge of legislation and EHS surrounding products would be advantageous Combines technical acumen with problem solving skills through communication and interpersonal skills Looks to solve problems and find solutions Is self-motivated, resilient, and self-reliant Can build strong relationships with different kinds of people
