They are fully knowledgeable in the development of the Sika Everbuild product range with the aim to achieve future development within this range and beyond.
ACTIVITIES

• Deliver new products and projects in accordance with Sika's Product Creation Process (PCP).
• Have responsibility for an assigned project and delivery in accordance with the agreed project plan and according to Sika's Product Creation Process (PCP).
• Undertake comprehensive training in relevant fields of sealants and adhesives, product formulation and testing.
• Train and understand the business policies concerning the Environment, Health and Safety.
• Undertake investigations in response to customer enquiries; manufacturing and quality issues; and encourage development of the knowledge within the department.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and contribute towards the departments budgetary compliance.
• Contribute positively to the image and perception of Sika Research and Development. Helping to generate a culture where innovation, creativity and continuous improvement prevails.
• Accurately record, present and analyse all data in accordance with the departments procedures and protocols. This includes maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and safeguarding Sika's intellectual property.
• Work in accordance with the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures of both the business and the R&D department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Has at least 3 years’ experience of working in a laboratory environment with product development and formulating experience within the sealants and adhesives chemistry sector Recognises interpersonal dynamics and their effect on building and maintaining relationships Has experience of EHS Related topics and legislation relating to the laboratory environment Excellent communicator Proficient report writer with the ability to deliver presentations, product testing and analytics Looks to solve problems and find solutions adopting practical skills and pragmatism Is self-motivated, resilient, and self-reliant Can build strong relationships with different kinds of people
