You’ll join a team that has an enviable reputation in the UK Transportation consultancy sector as a result of a portfolio of high-profile projects with clients that include the Highways England (HE), Transport Scotland, Network Rail, Welsh Government, National Contractors and numerous Local Authorities.

You will be responsible for project delivery and undertake the role of technical lead on a range of bridge and transportation related projects:

• Lead and mentor bridge staff on tasks such as structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and the production of contract documents and technical reports.
• Use your knowledge and skills in working together with the team and other disciplines in providing an integrated service to clients
• Help seek innovative solutions in achieving best value in delivering our services
• Help development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Chartered or approaching Chartered status with ICE, IStructE or a similar organisation Significant experience in the UK bridges/Transportation sector; Excellent understanding of structural behaviour and detailed knowledge of current codes and standards, including Eurocodes, DMRB, SHW, and Network rail standards; Experience of design analysis and assessment of structures using Structural analysis software such Midas or LUSAS; Proven track record of delivery of bridge and highway related projects and an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team; Experience in design of a range of bridge types; Experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM); Experience of undertaking client facing roles and an ability to attract new clients into the business Experience in the delivery of ECI or design and build projects; Experience of construction supervision.
