Set-up and prepare the treatment room .Prepare the necessary materials and instruments, making sure that equipment and instruments are in good working order and maintained regularly in accordance with practice policy.
Segregate waste in accordance with the practice procedures and ensure its safe disposal
Assist in taking radiographs (according to your level of training)
Maintain and decontaminate equipment
Liaise with reception over appointments for each patient.
Escort patients from the waiting room to the surgery.
Confirm the patient’s medical history is up-to-date
Provide chair side support to the dentist, hygienist or therapist during treatment
Assist in the keeping of full and accurate patient records and ensure that they are stored securely
Monitor and maintain stock within the surgery as necessary, informing the head nurse or practice manager
Liaising with the dentists, hygienists or therapist over orders or any shortages of materials
Follow all dental ethical guidelines including all rules on confidentiality
Check that all necessary laboratory work is returned and ready for each session
Assist in all clerical and administrative duties as required
Aspirational Candidates with positive and can do attitude with no past training are also welcome. Availability of in-house training and career progression for right candidate with no past experience in dentistry
