Job Description

This is an exciting full time role supporting the Wealth Manager and Paraplanner to offer a high level of ongoing service. The successful role holder will work out of our client's beautiful Weston-Super-Mare offices.

Duties will include:

  • Managing Wealth Manager’s diary and booking meetings
  • Assisting Wealth Manager to prepare for meetings
  • Assisting Paraplanner to conduct product and investment research, and write suitability letters to confirm advice
  • Acting as main point of contact for client services to resolve administrative issues
  • Helping to ensure files are compliant and complete
  • Processing new business and tracking to completion
  • Day to day correspondence with clients and providers
  • Maintaining back office systems, including provider platforms
  • Helping to organize events and seminars
  • General administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of between £18,000 and £24,000 depending on experience, as well as an exceptional benefits package.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience of working in financial services administration for an IFA practice. Experience working for a product provider, either in investments insurance or banking. A good knowledge of pensions and/or pensions administration. Knowledge of FCA compliance procedures. The ability to take control of your own workload without close supervision. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight details when required. Ideally, you will hold the Financial Planning Certificate (FP1), CF1 and CII Award in Financial Administration or equivalent. A good working knowledge of Intelligent Office (IO) would be highly desirable.
