Job Description
  • To ensure the group reporting of revenue and sales is accurate and reflective of the content of our signed client contracts and is in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Responsible for maintenance of the quarterly rolling sales plan and obtaining timely updates from the sales teams to ensure accurate and robust forecasting of sales and revenue.

All clients and contracts:

  • Review of all new contracts to ensure quality and completeness of payment terms agreed with client and notifying finance of any non-standard terms agreed.
  • Perform data audits to ensure alignment between reported sales figures on Sales Force and what is in the contractual documents.
  • Perform data audits to ensure completeness of revenue against reported sales in Sales Force

Direct Invoicing clients:

  • Responsible for the accuracy of direct invoicing clients invoicing schedule. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the information is consistent with the signed contract and it is reflected correctly in Sales Force; identifying any missing data; liaising with the relevant sales or account manager to collected missing data and updating the customer record.
  • Responsible for the direct invoicing process – ensuring education of process, monitoring and review of new contracts.
  • Performing a periodic review on direct invoicing opportunities against Xero to ensure all expected cash has been remitted, identify, and communicate any gaps to the relevant finance team member.
  • Preparation of the monthly revenue recognition adjustments including posting into Xero.

Other:

  • Responsible for collating the monthly analysis of actual consumption against estimated consumption to identify any potential risks to revenue streams and cash flow.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of reported sales figures in sales and account manager commission requests.
  • Liaise with the Sales Force team in designing, writing and maintenance of dashboards and Sales Force reports that support the delivery of accurate and robust financial information.
  • Other ad hoc duties that support the finance team
  • Support the wider needs of the Amber Enterprises Group, as and when reasonably required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant, or QBE, with experience in accounting for revenue under FRS102 and for long term contracts. Excellent attention to detail and ability to integrate reports and spot key trends and/or issues with the data. Numerate with excellent analytical skills, combined with effective reporting abilities. Effective communicator with ability to work across multi-functional teams. Proactive in approach and ability to work independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office, most notably Excel and experience with Sales Force and Xero. Worked in a sales led, high growth business. Experience in audit or compliance.
