Lead a team of engineers and technicians working on a variety of highways projects while reporting directly to the Project Manager
Check and approve documentation prepared by other team members which involve short timescales and delivery
Prepare feasibility studies, scheme reports, scheme design for highways, drainage, flooding and a variety of other projects
Resolve technical issues as they occur for a range of areas across the project while monitoring progress.
Attend progress meetings, public exhibitions, and public inquiries
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A Civil Engineering Degree MICE and IEng/CEng status or equivalent Demonstrated experience in major highway schemes and most of its aspects Polished and with great interpersonal and communication skills Solid knowledge of DMRB standards Able to maintain a challenging workload with short notice changes Articulate, able to converse well with clients Good understanding of financial management and project controls Capable of producing well-presented and accurate reports Proficient with MX/3D Cad as well as drainage design capabilities (WINDES or equivalent) Driving License Background in construction supervision Sound knowledge of different contract types and procurement options
