Job Description
The main tasks of the role are outlined as:
Day to day management of the accounts team ensuring all essential tasks are completed correctly and within tight deadlines.
Preparation of financial management information for internal and external use.
Maintenance of accurate bank records, including daily reconciliations.
Periodic reconciliations and declaration of Invoice Finance reports.
Preparation of VAT and other required statutory returns.
Posting of general ledger transactions necessary to ensure completeness of records.
Checking and reporting of daily sales analysis.
Processing of intercompany transactions, including purchases, sales and maintenance of balances.
Maintenance of fixed asset registers, including additions and disposals. Calculation of depreciation and posting of journals into accounts system.
Calculation and posting of periodic prepayments and accruals.
Maintenance of general ledger balances ensuring accurate and current data.
Authorisation of bank transactions.
Processing of periodic sales invoicing, ensuring accuracy of content and timely delivery.
Collation of credit card receipts, posting and accurate processing of all transactions.
Maintenance and audit of supplier/buying group rebate schedules. Raising of queries forthcoming.
Provision of any ad hoc information or reports as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
