Job Description

This role is home-based and flexible in where it can be in the UK but will require travel both nationally and internationally and regular attendance in our London office.

In addition to the above, duties & responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a risk management service which supports Aviva's intention to be the leading Insurer in chosen markets
  • Completing cross-class new business presentations, selling the risk management and prevention proposition
  • Embracing innovation, implementing strategic initiatives to manage and increase the risk quality across accounts
  • Developing and delivering Corporate Risk Management propositions across UK/multinational accounts
  • Answering underwriting concerns and providing information on risk engineering activity and other operational risk issues
  • Positively contributing to the profit protection plans for Commercial

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of current risk management and loss prevention practices for Property, Business Interruption, Construction and Liability risks Appreciation of the Aviva's GCS ARMS proposition and partner network Very strong presentation and customer engagement skills, with experience at influencing and negotiating Experience across a wide range of occupancies including manufacturing and warehouse/distribution Track record of robust co-ordination skills when leading the risk engineering programmes for select accounts Knowledge of international fixed protection codes such as NFPA, EN, LPC, FM etc. Good knowledge of underwriting processes and ability to translate knowledge and experience into actions to effectively improve risk quality Desirable: Qualifications in CFPA European Diploma in Fire Safety Management and/or industry specific qualifications (AIRM, ACII)
