Job Description
  • Support the development of a control framework and environment for the local finance teams, Corporate Finance teams by working with the shareholders permanent control team, finance teams and IT department to identify key risks, existing and future controls and developing detailed action plans to achieve those controls
  • Support mitigation activities to address identified risks and support implementation by Finance teams in Europe
  • Support the annual completion of Know Your Bank (KYB) review
  • Support Finance teams by attending regular meetings with local permanent controls leads to discuss ongoing activities and potential new control areas
  • Support Finance teams with central and group reporting requirements related to control
  • Support half-yearly meetings with Finance Permanent Control Committee
  • Provide cover across the team to ensure day to day activities are covered
  • The main correspondents with internal and external auditors in connection with all Permanent Control activities
  • Works with Local Operational Risk Committee and shareholder Permanent Controls Team
  • Working with local European entities to fulfil local regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that the corporate finance teams and local entities have developed the appropriate permanent control systems
  • Understanding and promoting the company’s policy on Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • To ensure ongoing adherence to all relevant compliance regulations that may govern the business and complete all regulatory knowledge training where applicable in a timely manner

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of working in a dynamic finance environment. Experience of change management. Experience of working in a control environment an advantage. Expertise in IFRS reporting an advantage. Experience of SAP advantageous. Training towards a professional qualification in audit, accounting or compliance an advantage. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work in a transversal mode (adaptable to changes). Restless curiosity on analytics, process improvement. Strong business acumen and customer focus. Able to deal with ambiguity and drive for results. Excellent planning and organizing skills. Strong decision quality skills. High level of integrity and trust.
