Our client is working with us exclusively to recruit a Financial Controller. A well-established business they are part of a larger successful Group.
Reporting to the MD of the business and Group Finance Director you will be responsible for the following:
Management of a team of 4
Knowledge and awareness of all business operations and how they drive financial transactions and processes
Implementing appropriate, robust and workable controls & policies to ensure the company’s profitability, cash flow and balance sheet. This includes making finance policy recommendations to the Directors, communicating them to the management team and supervising compliance in conjunction with the management team
Compliance with tax authorities and companies house including liaison with external accountants on year end and audit and tax returns
Review accurate and timely monthly accounts including monthly reforecast for rolling 12 months and prepare Group Consolidation; presenting and explaining monthly reporting to the Directors and management team as required.
Preparation of monthly reporting of MI to Group
Modelling and Forecasting as required by Group
Prepare annual budgets in line with Group requirements and strategy
Production of weekly and monthly KPI’s and performance measures to support and influence management decision making for the Company and to Group
Ensuring company audit is successful, auditor’s statement is unqualified and statutory accounts are prepared and signed within an agreed timeline.
Ensuring Directors & Managers understand the financial implications of decision making
Insurance renewals and claims
Bank signatory and administrator
M&A activity as required
Member of Disaster Recovery Panel
Review of NDA’s, Contracts and T’s and C’s for the business as a whole
Responsible for adequate resources for Finance
Member of senior management team
Package:
A salary of £45-£55k with benefits which include pension, personal accident insurance, income protection insurance, life assurance and access to the employee discount scheme
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience in industry. Prior experience as part of a senior management team. Advanced Excel skills. Able to motivate and lead teams. Excellent presentation skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
