An innovative digital challenger bank client of ours has asked us to find them a regulatory reporting accountant to join their expanding finance function.
Role Description
Assist with the preparation and submission of the Bank’s entire suite of regulatory reports to the regulators
Contribute to the interpretation and application of regulation, largely CRD IV/CRR in the UK
Support Regulatory Reporting Manager on ad hoc reporting issues
Assist with the production of high-level recurring and ad-hoc papers and reports to support the Bank’s regulatory reporting requirements with the PRA, FCA and Bank of England
Gather, analyse and interrogate information, identify and track issues, and determine/address themes arising from regulators, and the Compliance exception reporting processes
Maintain regular contact with the Finance, Compliance and Treasury functions to ensure that the necessary exchange of information on regulatory reporting matters is effective
Ensure that all regulatory returns submitted to regulators are consistent, accurate and meet the requirements established by the regulators
Ability to identify issues and use initiative to find solutions, including resolving technical issues and implementing regulatory changes
Assist with the provision of timely Management Information to senior management to understand the key regulatory, financial and regulatory capital drivers
Assist with the monitoring of the Large Exposure and Capital Adequacy reporting limits to avoid any breaches of UK regulatory constraints
Assist with the development and maintenance of a strong control environment including procedures and processes
Responsible for user acceptance testing of regulatory reporting software upgrades and investigating discrepancies
To abide by all financial crime related policies, procedures and reporting obligations applicable to their job
Working with internal auditors
Ability to read guidance, interpret and develop reporting to meet new and emerging regulation
Role Requirements
Be a newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ACT)
Be familiar with the various COREP templates and FINREP templates
Have a working knowledge in calculating capital requirements around market, credit and operational risk
