Job Description

As a Construction Workshop Technician, you will provide technical support for the delivery of the Construction Curriculum. The Construction department delivers a range of training and learning programmes covering Bricklaying, Bench Joinery and Site Carpentry, Plastering, Electrical Installation and Plumbing.

As a Construction Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment used by students, support with the dismantling of work prepared by students to maintain operational status of the workshops, carry out routine maintenance of equipment and workshops and ensure adequate stock levels of materials are maintained.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Have a range of experience gained within the Construction industry Have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent in a relevant vocational area (e.g. trowel/wood) Hold a First Aid qualification (or willing to achieve one) Have the ability to work in a busy environment
