Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a privately-owned business in the food industry. This opportunity will give you the chance to work within an organisation that is in a growth phase. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. You will provide financial support to the business with focus on group and statutory reporting, with exposure to the senior leadership team internationally. The successful candidate will be involved in driving change and will operate with a corporate mentality, in a highly collaborative environment with an experienced team in place.

To successfully deliver in the profile position, you will need to have:

• Qualified Accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Proven ability to drive and/or support process and system improvements
• Disciplined, self-motivated, demonstrates energy
• Attention to detail and accurate reporting
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Experience of working with USGAAP is preferred, but not essential
• Capability to drive changes and challenge the status quo
• Proactive demeanour

A little more information about the role:

• Provide monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.
• Preparation of all statutory reporting for the entities which will also include group consolidation, holding companies and trading companies.
• Report performance to the senior leadership team.
• Support the preparation of tax reports and calculations.
• Liaise with internal and external audit teams when required.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of financial planning models
• Ad hoc projects
