Job Description

As Accountant you will report into the Financial Controller and be responsible overseeing the Finance team. Alongside the Financial Controller you will contribute to the growth and profitability of the business whilst ensuring processes and procedures are robust, the role provides a unique opportunity to do end-to-end accounting and be involved in all aspects of the business streams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the maintenance of high-quality management accounts, incorporating Global monthly reporting, variance analysis and supporting narratives
• Oversee and support the monthly closure of accounts process, ensuring that books are closed including all associated accounting routines in accordance with agreed timescales
• Provide financial insight and analysis
• Ensure all statutory requirements are met
• Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems, including all relevant stakeholders as appropriate
• Business partnering
• Carrying out internal and support of external audit work
• Assist with the coaching and training of other team members
• Carry out bank reconciliations
• Maintain and review fixed asset register
• Lead ad-hoc analysis and projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You are ideally qualified or part qualified to ACA / ACCA level. You have at least 6 months, ideally 1 year, industry experience. You are an experienced ERP user, ideally with SAP S/4 Hana. You are a confident excel user: pivot table / vlook ups/macro’s. Your excellent communication and management skills are essential. You are able to work on own initiative and take the role forward. You are able to manage a small team. You are fluent in English and have a work permit for the UK.
