Job Description

The Project Manager will manage manage multiple and/or major projects safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget, preparing programs of work commitments with appropriate schedules detailing the labour requirements.

The successful candidate will be a commercially astute Project Manager, ideally with experience in HV connections DNO / ICP work & private networks.

Additional Information and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom Group and its customers
• Take overview of work activities to be completed, and plan accordingly for effective and timely completion of the works.
• Procure materials, equipment and plant in a timely manner to meet program and in accordance with Freedom Group policies.
• Manage all financial aspects of projects.
• Ensure extra works are costed and invoiced.
• Provide cost value reconciliation for projects/contracts.
• Ensure all sub-contracts are approved in line with Freedom Group’s company policies.
• Ensure projects meet all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H. etc.
• Identify and inform Freedom Group’s Directors of commercial opportunities as appropriate.
• Review and monitor programme schedule using Project Management tools.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Be a commercially astute Project Manager, ideally with experience in HV connections DNO / ICP work & private networks Good communicator, collaborative and enthusiastic Works Well Under Pressure by managing competing priorities Honesty and Integrity that is customer service centric Hold an Electrical Engineering qualification at HNC or above (Desirable) Hold an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety (Desirable) Street-works NRSWA (Desirable) Project / Construction Managers Safety Training Scheme (Desirable) Prince 2 / APM Practitioner (Desirable)
