Job Description

The successful candidate will have experience in a Senior Management role working in an Electrical / Civil environment with DNO or Construction Industry success and technical qualifications and knowledge to support as listed below.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Health, Safety & Quality - Ensure policies and procedures are in place to enable Network’s to be a thoroughly safe working environment for all employees and customers. Ensure that the infrastructure is in place to maintain a healthy workforce.
  • Business Processes - Ensure adherence to all Freedom’s policies, processes and procedures and to develop and fully implement a suite of Contract Standard operating procedures and processes across the BAU optimising design, estimating & field force utilisation.
  • Commercial - Ensure that the robust commercial management of all services to keep costs within contract/tender allowances/rates and ensure that the NWS team are capturing and valuing the variations/entitlements identified during works. Ensure that Project Reviews and Cost Verification Records are completed on a monthly basis and stored on the Business Information system. Any issues to be raised directly to the NWS MD
  • Financial Performance - Ensure that account and job bid targets in terms of margin and cash generation are achieved and bettered. Ensure that supplier payments are managed and that all purchase orders etc. are placed in the required format. Ensure that AROC, Applications, Debt and Blocked Invoices are monitored and managed in line with NWS KPI’s
  • Leadership - Provide overall leadership for the operational delivery teams across the region, develop and motivate to maximise the potential of the team and the individuals within, achieving high levels of cross business collaboration.
  • Strategic Business Planning and Budgeting - Positively contribute to the preparation of Business plans and Budgets for their respective business unit based on Company objectives and maintain overall responsibility for the successful budgeting against agreed plans. Plan core business operations to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints and establishes priorities and resources for contracts.
  • DNO Frameworks and Projects Delivery - Responsible for the successful completion of Frameworks, Small Works and Projects utilising optimum mix of business wide resources. Leadership of our supply chain and logistics solutions within area of responsibility.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Electrical / Civil Degree NEBOSH Clean Driving Licence Project Management APM or Prince 2 Minimum of 5 Years’ Experience in a Senior Management Role working in an Electrical / Civil Environment demonstrating ability to turn around account performance and embed high levels of customer advocacy and service level performance Service Management Management level interaction with Key Client Stakeholders Technical Knowledge DNO or construction industry success
