A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a dynamic Quality Engineer to join them. You will have primary responsibility for customer issue resolution across 3 South Wales sites.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

• Robust coordination and closure of Customer and internal issues
• Develop and promote structured problem solving
• Be the Quality champion regarding problem solving including robust follow up
• Coach and mentor Teams on structured problem solving, technical report presentation and 8D writing
• Provide initial point of contact for Customer quality teams
• Run and manage Customer quality meetings
• Be the Quality representative internally for NPI projects (APQP support)
• Drive prevention of issues on NPI from lessons learned from historical issues
• Continually improve and develop Quality Management System
• Complete internal audits as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Degree qualified in technical discipline or significant experience in highly technical manufacturing environment. Proven and experienced problem solver in a technology / complex manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of core quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC. Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects with multiple stake holders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; no “dropped balls”. Previous experience in the semiconductor industry is a strong plus. Working knowledge of ISO9000 / IATF16949 – experience in AS9100 or ISO13485 beneficial. Internal Auditor qualified or lead auditor preferred against ISO9000 / IATF.
