Job Description

As part of our new five-year strategy, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Manager to take the lead on our Cyber strategy and Cyber teams management. The successful candidate will be an experienced Cyber Security professional, passionate about delivering best practice in information security.

You will be working closely with our Board of Directors and other directors and managers across the business, providing a critical role where you will have real influence over our Cyber Security client offering and growth plans.

We are looking for someone with a deep knowledge of cyber security products and markets, and someone that is passionate about building new things and developing themselves professionally.   • Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the wider business to develop and improve the current security strategies and processes.
  • Reviewing and leading on the management of our entire Cyber Security client product offering; covering people, physical, process and technology aspects.
  • Leading the identification of new Cyber Security products and solutions, and working with sales and marketing teams to bring these new solutions to market.
  • Assisting with client engagement and winning new business tenders.
  • Providing technical leadership for all our Cyber Security employees and teams.
  • Being the subject matter expert on all areas of Data Protection, governance, GDPR, risk management and compliance.
  • Leading our Red, Blue and White teams in security investigations, improving monitoring/reporting processes and security incident alerts, and providing robust consulting services.
  • Being a technical resource for other IT colleagues working in teams outside of our Cyber Security teams.
  • Developing and maintaining our security procedures and updating standards and documentation

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong managerial experience in Information and Cyber Security. Driving innovation & continuous improvement, advanced data and evidence management and client management on remediation programmes. Technical skill; strong technical insight, practical knowledge and specialist capability. Versatility; proven ability to adapt and learn in an innovative environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience delivering ISO27001, PCI-DSS and Cyber Essentials Plus. Broad technical knowledge of Infrastructure, Networks, Development and BI. A thorough understanding and ability to engage in all areas of IT. Experience writing business cases for new technology and solutions. Evidence of leading security investigations, including responding to incidents involving malware, data loss, or network intrusion. A solid understanding of GDPR, data protection and information governance. A degree in a computer related subject or equivalent experience in Cyber Security. Security related qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISMP, ISO27001 lead implementer or auditor, or equivalent experience. Able to work at strategic and operational levels and to move between these levels with ease.
