Building strong professional relationships with all staff by developing a sound understanding of their needs
Provide advice and support on all employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, capability, restructuring and sickness absence
Manage the provision of professional telephone and on-line support to clients in accordance with relevant policy and procedure
Lead ad hoc projects including restructuring and change management
Contribute to the development of the strategic HR development plan
Ensure that organisational practices are accurately reflective of current employment legislation
Deliver support and training to academy senior leaders, local and central governance to enhance their skills, knowledge and understanding of dealing with HR issues
Complete projects as directed by the CEO
Provide support to the Directors and Members as and when required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
experience of complex HR issues including disciplinary, redundancies, dismissals, and change management Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be achievement focused Have a well-developed understanding of the education sector and a good understanding of TUPE Understanding of relevant legislation and education related employment policies/procedures Be fully or part CIPD qualified and committed to continuing professional development Have a well-developed knowledge of Employment Law, the practical application of it and the impact this can have within a school Have experience of dealing with a varied caseload including sickness and absence management, disciplinary and grievances Have a customer service ethos and a flexible "can do" attitude Can work under pressure and to deadlines and respond promptly to requirements using own initiative
