Job Description

Job responsibilities include:

  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team and all other employees on generalist HR queries
  • Manage the provision of effective administrative support to ensure compliance and effective reporting requirements are met
  • Lead on the development of HR processes especially right to work, work history, referencing, absence and sick pay triggers, probation and review dates
  • Draft offer letters, contracts of employment and variations to contracts,
  • Manage and report absence (annual leave, sick pay)
  • Liaise with Payroll and IT regarding new starters
  • Support hiring managers regarding Learning and Development
  • In liaison with line managers support new starters in on-boarding and induction process
  • Lead on recruitment campaigns and ensure compliance of new starters
  • Update and maintain HR System including electronic and paper files
  • Resolve human relations issues and promote employee health and well-being
  • Co-ordinate employees benefit scheme (Pension, eye vouchers, season ticket loans etc.)
  • Guide and support Senior Leadership team on HR matters and employment law

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Member of CIPD Experience of managing a standalone / small HR function in a Charity Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Substantial knowledge of employment law and best practice to lead and guide on all aspects of HR Significant experience of managing organisational development and change Experience of streamlining admin processes across an organisation to maximise resources and improve efficiency
