Job Description

The post holder will undertake the coordination of strategic business reviews that will help develop alternative models of service delivery, building on collaborative and integrated working.

As a Service Designer you will work alongside all key stakeholders whilst undertaking reviews to ensure service changes are effective and customer needs are met.

• To lead and support a series of live projects to transform service delivery, enhance customer experience and build delivery methods including digital, telephony and face to face.
• Using service design and user research tools and expertise to improve access to services that improve outcomes for residents, whilst identifying cost savings or revenue opportunities.
• Managing multi-disciplinary teams through the service design process, ensuring the approach is appropriate and user-centered.
• Working with other colleagues in the Customer Experience service to deliver the Council’s ambition to modernize and create user-centered services, maximizing the impact of digital channels whilst supporting better customer experiences through telephone and face to face contact.
• Using a range of review methodologies to keep all stakeholders informed and involved in the progress of service design projects

The position carries an Approved Casual Car User Allowance therefore access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will undertake research and analysis into the various sectors dependent upon the strategic business review planned and will be confident in facilitating and delivering workshops and project team meetings. You will be able to demonstrate previous service change, redesign skills and experience. You will be a confident communicator who can complete strategic reports and design presentations to suit multiple audiences
