Job Description

• Preparation of monthly management accounts with a focus on P&L
• Insightful commentary against budgets and forecasts for senior management
• Supporting monthly forecasting and in the annual budget preparation
• Business partnering with both finance and non-finance people to ensure that both finance and operations are moving efficiently forwards
• Review of procedures and identify opportunities for improvement- whether that be with regards to reporting or in general running of site
• Support the year end audit- a point of contact for the auditors
• System improvement- Streamline for ease of use and efficiency for all operating

A business that is very well renowned in the Music space. At present as a business they are moving into new areas and are highly acquisitive. As a business they are expanding and what that means is change and an ability to adapt. The individuals that work for them are innovative, intelligent and ambitious. This role has a lot a scope to progress into a Finance Manager. The split of the role will essentially be 60% management accounting, 30% business partnering with non-finance people and 10% ad-hoc project work. The hiring manager really wants someone who can work autonomously and what that means is opportunity! Opportunity to take the lead from a finance perspective and to be seen as a true commercial business partner.

Skills/experience

• Management accounting
• Forecast and budgeting
• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
• An ability to manage stakeholders- Finance and non-finance
• An understanding of AP/AR and its contribution to the efficiency of a finance function
• An ability to use initiative when faced with problems
