As the face of the Society, our Customer Service Assistants play a vital role in delivering this promise and are committed to delivering the best for our customers, working together to make things happen.

What will I be doing?

You'll be a friendly face when customers come into branch, assisting with the opening of savings accounts for those who are looking to save for that all important holiday, new car or perhaps even a wedding. You'll make follow up calls to customers to discuss available products and complete daily admin tasks such as booking appointments, scanning, letter writing and ensuring that customer records are accurate and up to date.

We'll give you training so that you can identify and refer customers with wider financial needs whether they're looking to become first time home owners, or simply looking to move house. You'll also be able to identify any suspicious account activity and liaise with the Financial Crime team to ensure our customers finances are kept safe and secure. There are further opportunities to gain financial qualifications or achieve accreditation where it's needed to carry out the role.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of working with customers delivering exceptional service The confidence to facilitate sensitive financial conversations and the ability to empathise with different customer situations including vulnerable customers Strong attention to detail with a good level of numeracy to conduct accurate cash transactions Resilient and able to handle challenging customer situations A passion and drive to achieve good customer outcomes Previous experience working with Microsoft Office or in-house computer packages Ideally educated to GCSE level including Maths and English
