On boarding new starters and managing leavers’ process
Working closely with the line managers to support with absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance meetings
Maintaining accurate paper and electronic records, which include HR database and employee self- service database
Maintaining pay roll and time records
Liaising with external payroll, employment lawyer and HR consultancy agency
Maintaining the learning and development process, including delivering induction training, filing training records and ensuring all staff do not lapse in required qualifications
Reviewing and continuously updating the company handbook and policies and procedures to reflect organisational approach or legislative changes; ensuring legal compliance with HR rules and regulations, including GDPR
Managing and liaising with external contractors and agencies incl. cleaning, IT support, landline/broadband, PPE, waste, maintenance, office and factory supplies
First point of contact for incoming enquiries (phone, mail and email) and customer service
Organising customer visits and staff events
General ad-hoc support to other departments and senior management team
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Holds at least a level 3 CIPD qualification, ideally level 5 Has experience working within operational HR management, office management and administrative support Has awareness of the food industry Is a multi-tasker, can work autonomously and takes initiative Is a collaborative team worker, with a “can do” attitude and great communicative skills Is highly motivated with a positive attitude
