Interim Children’s Social Care Accountant

Based in London

Length: 2-3 months

IR35: Inside

One of our London Local Authority clients is looking for an experienced Accountant to join them at short notice to assist with year-end close down.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Accountant is closing the accounts for year end, across the area of Children’s Social care
• Provide technical support to ensure the accounts are closed promptly and fit for audit
• Ensure budgets remain closely monitored during Financial Year End, and be mindful of how the two interlink and impact one another
• Use SAP effectively to draw up reports

Experience

• Proven experience of closing down accounts for auditing in a Local Authority environment
• Recent SAP experience is essential
• Prior experience as a children’s social care account is very desirable
• Qualified or part qualified accountancy education
