Accounts Senior – Accountancy Practice

Full-time or Part-time

We are a small, forward looking and fast growing firm based in NW10 London. We look after small to medium sized business covering a variety of sectors.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new member of staff to join our team. You will be looking to gain more exposure to all aspects of our services and aim to progress to a Manager level .

Job Overview

• To develop and manage a portfolio of mixed accounting clients.
• Responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of tasks
• Preparation of annual accounts and management accounts,
• Corporate and personal tax compliance,
• VAT returns and Payroll
• Demonstrate knowledge in current accounting standards and be confident in UK taxation,
• Liaising with clients, HMRC and other professional advisers
• Review and finalisation of accounts and taxes for Partner review
• Dealing with submissions to Companies House and HMRC
• Efficient time management
• Supervising and mentoring trainees and providing assistance
• Motivation and encouragement of team
• Pro-actively look for ways to improve our systems and add value to our clients

Ideal Applicant

• Recently qualified ACCA with at least 4 years’ experience in Accountancy Practice
• Qualified by experience will be considered
• Confident, professional and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work well as a team and supervise junior staff
• Plans to meet deadlines and targets

IT Skills

• Microsoft office (Email, Work, Excel)
• Xero, Sageone or any other bookkeeping software
• Payroll Manager, Sage or any other payroll software
• Accounts software such as VT, BTC or any other software
• Personal and Corporate tax softwares such as BTC etc

Salary

• Competitive , negotiable based on experience

Salary: £28,000.00 to £32,000.00 /year

Experience:

• Accounting & Tax : 4 years (Required)
• Xero: 2 years (Required)
• Practice : 4 years (Required)
• Accountancy Practice: 4 years (Preferred)
