Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment processes and systems
  • Ensure all HR staff have the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to maximise the benefits of the HR systems
  • Be Systems Controller for HR systems and proactively ensure systems are effectively managed, maintained, audited and updated in line with changing service needs and employment legislation
  • Support the Head of HR Operations, Systems and Projects by managing workforce establishment control processes and reporting
  • Line manage two HR Administrators
  • Review, revise and update HR operational processes to ensure the HR team remain effective, working with HR Business Partners to ensure processes and systems are developed or updated in line with policy
  • Ensure all HR records are compliant with GDPR and DPA requirements
  • Manage the day-to-day resolution of contract and payroll issues relating to operational transactional and/or systems issues

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Desirable - MCIPD qualified Extensive and comprehensive working knowledge of HRMI and ATS systems (preferably CIPHR, though not essential), including experience as a Systems Controller (or demonstrable equivalent expert skills) A track record of achievement in managing HR operational service delivery, including experience of managing the full range of HR transactional services. Experience of designing, implementing and reviewing procedures, processes and practices to improve effectiveness and performance Excellent numeracy skills, with the ability to understand and interpret complex pay data and workforce management information Expert skills in MS Office, in particular Excel, with experience of producing management information reports to drive workforce performance Experience of contributing to strategic business planning processes using workforce data to analyse and understand workforce trends and plans Experience of line managing and supervising staff, including managing performance Up-to-date working knowledge of employment law and a knowledge of key trends and best practice in HRM Experience of managing service contract arrangements linked to internal and externally-delivered services Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience of working in a busy environment with limited resources, prioritising demands and working to tight deadlines Experience of promoting and developing an inclusive workforce, with the ability to help managers and staff understand the business benefits of staff diversity
