Job Description
Bookkeeper - Our client is a well-established profitable niche IT/software company, supplying some of the world’s top blue chip companies. A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Part Time Bookkeeper to support the Financial Controller and work 3 days a week. Key duties include:
- Working in a small finance team, alongside another Bookkeeper and the Financial Controller
- Monthly journals (e.g. prepayments, accruals, depreciation and payroll)
- Monthly trial balances with supporting schedules
- Assist the Financial Controller in preparing monthly and annual accounts and forecasts
- Enter receipts, payments, purchase invoices, sales invoices and expense claims to Sage
- Weekly bank reconciliations
- Set up payments to suppliers when purchase orders have been authorised
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and EC sales listings
- Use the sales order processing module in Sage to enter sales orders when they are received and invoice them when services have been delivered
- Administration of billing for support and maintenance contracts
- Keep track of expenses which can be recharged to clients and invoice them
This Part Time Bookkeeper role will suit an experienced Bookkeeper from a small business to work 3 days a week. Excellent double entry experience is required with strong Excel and Sage skills. Apply immediately.
