Job Description

Role

- Interpretation of Terms & Conditions

- Create reconciliation reports of terms and conditions against actual rosters and pay and hours paid in payroll across all pay elements

- Produce gap reports on each pay element for each role type, prioritising biggest impact areas

- Factor in TUPE conditions and legislation regarding pay and hours and minimum wages

- Draft proposals for correct interpretations of pay and hours, modelling cost, legal, regulatory and people impacts

Workforce Optimisation and Pay Modelling

- Propose solutions for business approval including but not limited to harmonisation, buy-outs and pay protection (red circling)

- pay and benefits harmonisation opportunities as part of a WFM optimisation plan or support to a pay review/negotiation

- Continually scanning and assessing changes in legislation where it affects pay and benefits

- Work with finance team to reconcile forecasts with actual reward data for pay reviews and workforce optimisation assessments

Change Management and Standardising Processes

- Work with HR to develop implementation plans to align to correct terms and conditions providing data to support employee consultations where necessary

- Work with payroll and HRIS team to ensure contracts are updated in all data generation sources – e.g. terms and conditions codes

- Work with commercial and bid teams and Reward BPs to ensure reward data used in bids is correct and valued effectively, as part of the WFM COE value proposition

- Develop Pay and Hours Play Book with a standardised appendix for each site to support the WFM COE team with the codification of entitlements, and configuration and management of reward/award rules in WFM technology platforms such as Time2Work

Reward Capability

- Attend the Reward Forum and monthly Reward COE meeting to promote community of practice principles

- Work with the Head of Reward to promote understanding and awareness of reward drivers to support the HR & WFM Strategies

- Document key learnings to support broader strategy of documenting, standardising and harmonising pay and allowances


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Pay Modelling and Analytical skills –You are an expert Excel user and can apply analytical techniques to present data in a clear and compelling way, using graphical representations and data visualisations. - Codifying Terms & Conditions - You have experience of interpreting employment contract terms & conditions and their practical application within Time and Attendance, HRIS and Payroll environments. - Current Market Practices - You are knowledgeable of current pay and benefits practices in public and private sector environments, having worked in or had exposure to complex, multi T&Cs environments, e.g. understanding of NHS terms in both UK and Scotland. - Employment Law & Employee Relations. You have an understanding of employment law and working time regulations in particular. You are familiar with pay and benefits legislation that governs minimum wages, equal pay, gender pay gap and salary sacrifice schemes. You have some experience in industrial relations and understanding of related sensitivities. - Payroll Automation - You are expert in providing data as input to automated payroll, perhaps gained through a Time & Attendance system deployment or payroll integration/migration project.
