Job Description

Financial Controller required on an interim bases for one of our healthcare clients based in Warrington. The Financial Controller will be required to manage the team, oversee contracts and be responsible for income. The Financial Controller willl also add a level of expertise and support to the existing finance team.

Interim Finance Controller Duties & Responsibilities;
* Manage the income and reporting cycle: management and statutory reporting, reconciliations, VAT returns
* Budget and forecasting processes
* Work with the senior management team to develop project KPIs and provide regular feedback and insight to business unit directors
* Manage the finance team including transactional and project accountants.
* Take responsibility for the control environment
* Identify and recommend potential operational efficiencies and improvements to procedures
* Drive and improve the accounting reporting
* Maintain balance sheet through regular reviews and monthly reconciliations
* Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts
* Contact point for external auditors ensuring audits run smoothly
* Completion of other regular ad hoc corporate requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* ACCA. CIMA, ACA Qualified or equivalent * Good knowledge of financial budgeting, forecasting, control and planning experience * Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of data bases (PIVOT analysis) * Good management, planning and organisational skills * Ability to communicate both orally and in writing at all levels * Display initiative and ability to work on own
