Job Description

As a Warehouse Assistant with Euro Car Parts you are responsible for supporting your First Line Manager (FLM) achieve shift and departmental targets. This involves a level of autonomy, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and to the highest standards, identifying, resolving and escalating (if needed) issues appropriately and in a timely and safe manner.

Working Hours:

  • Mon – Fri: 40 hours per week 09.00 – 18.00
  • Additional hours are required as per business needs and will be paid at an overtime rate

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will be passionate about doing a good job and will take pride in the work that you do. You will be self-motivated teamed with good personal discipline that is open to change and new challenges Responsible for following all site policies and procedures, including adhering to all SSOWs and reporting any non-conformance. Support the departmental goal of zero accidents within the team and maintain a safe working environment. Responsible for completing all departmental tasks in a timely manner and in line with the correct training procedure, this includes receiving deliveries, transporting stock, picking, packing and dispatching goods. Ensure the output of all work is the highest quality and accuracy to enable optimum performance. Ensure all stock is handled in a way that minimizes risk of damage. Escalate issues as required to appropriate levels of management. Support colleagues and be prepared to step in and train them if required. Identify opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvement in ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness. Support internal customers, ensuring service levels and customer experience are protected. Assist with additional duties to support in achieving departmental targets and to maintain the working environment in a clean and tidy condition. Carry out any reasonable requests as directed by a member of management. Ensure all areas of the warehouse conform to all health and safety legislation. Provide a safe working environment in the warehouse for all team members and visitors. Wear and maintain company issued uniform if provided. Participate in all training related functions as required by the company. Participate and take an active role in all staff meetings. Show initiative, is a detailed orientated individual with a can-do attitude. Can multi-task with an ability to go above and beyond. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate in a positive manner. Team orientated – works well with the team. Previous experience in a similar role as a warehouse assistant / operative is essential. Excellent reading and numerical skills are required. Motor Industry experience is highly desirable or a keen interest in the industry is also welcome. Previous experience with a stock management experience is desirable. Excellent attention to detail with an ability to work within a fast-paced target driven environment.
