Experience of working in a Higher Education environment is essential.
Typing and formatting correspondence, reports and papers using Microsoft Word
Providing administration support for the general office eg:
Raising requisitions, receipting goods and putting purchase orders onto the finance system (IPROC). To attend necessary training in relation to this
Meetings administration including monthly Senior Management Team meetings including producing and circulating agendas, minuting meetings and circulating to the wider team, and following up on meeting action points as needed;;
Covering reception duties on a roster basis;
Additional duties as deemed appropriate to the post.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Substantial relevant work experience in a busy and complex administrative role, ideally within a higher education environment; 2. Excellent organisational skills - in particular the ability to prioritise a full and often complex workload which will include a number of competing demands; 3. A proven ability to understand and work through complex logistical processes such as making placement allocations; 4. Excellent attention to detail and a proven and consistently high level of accuracy in work undertaken 5. The ability to work accurately under pressure within short deadlines and with changing and competing priorities; 6. Experience of working on new initiatives and building processes to allow efficient roll out of new ways of working; 7. Substantial experience of maintaining and updating electronic databases, particularly Microsoft Access and Excel 8. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Teams) and the willingness to develop existing IT skills; 9. Knowledge of University IT systems such as Oracle Financials, or a willingness to learn;
