Job Description

* Recruitment, including attracting, shortlisting, interviewing, and selection of candidates within Europe

* Liaison with Recruitment agencies within Malta and other European countries where required

* Assist with processing new joiners - preparing and issuing offer letters and employment contracts, completing appropriate pre-employment checks, issuing first day instructions, completing first day process, creating new employee files, maintenance of joiners' reporting, joiners notifications

* Delivering induction and appropriate training to new employees

* Assist with managing employee exit process - resignation acknowledgement, acceptance, conducting exit interviews, offboarding from all relevant systems and informing the respective payroll bureau

* Maintain Employee Personal Files and internal records relating to benefits

* Develop and maintain weekly/monthly/semi-monthly reports and ad-hoc reporting requests;

* Compile information and records in timely manner in response to audit requests

* Support line management and employees with employment related queries and basic employee relations issues

* Review and update Employment Policies and Procedures ensuring compliance with local Labour Law

* Responsible for ensuring that all steps of the payroll process are completed within the agreed workflow resulting in employees receiving payment on time;

* Collate payroll data on a monthly basis; reporting on joiners, leavers, verify staff attendance and Overtime hours and submit to payroll provider

* Ensure that payroll reports are approved by internal stakeholders

* Collate employee expenses and submit for relevant sign off

* Answer any payroll queries from employees or managers


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Over 2 years HR experience in UK * The qualified candidate must be able to work effectively and independently in a fast paced, entrepreneurial organization. You will be expected to resolve day-to-day issues in a sensitive manner. * Fluent in English and Mandarin * Four-year college/university degree; HR industry certifications desired, but not required; other HR, Recruitment or Payroll training or certifications a plus * Comprehensive understanding of local Labour Law and its practical application * Able to understand concepts quickly and apply them
