There is a competitive salary paying up to £30,000 dependant on experience, and some attractive company benefits too. The role in Warrington is a full-time, permanent position.
Duties Will Include:
Allocating the correct licences depending on imported goods
Liaison with Port officials
Advise operational colleagues of any shipments that are on hold and of any warehouse or transport issues.
Any other administration duties required by the manager
You will be working as part of a team, so you must have confident communication skills and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be a customs officer with a solid understanding of customs, including the latest rules and regulations applying to customs clearance services. Knowledge of current customs-related software is highly desirable, too.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of HMRC via either CHIEF, NES or inhouse systems. You will be fully conversant with import and export Customs regulations Have a good knowledge of customs classification and tariff codes and ideally have experience of CVED's. Good standard of knowledge with Microsoft packages. Experience of legislative compliance Keen eye for detail and compliance
