Job Description

Your main role as Senior Bookkeeper within the accountancy practice will be to complete and review Bookkeeping/VAT preparation and returns for all clients on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. You will be using sage,QB and Xero, experience with cloud based software is essential; You will be working to high standards ensure all work is of top quality and adheres to best practice and professional regulation standards

Main duties include:

• Liaising with HMRC to resolve issues
• Preparation of VAT and CIS returns
• Bank reconciliations
• Day to day bookkeeping, management accounts, budgets, cash flows and credit control
• Maintain accurate client records and contact details
• Process Bookkeeping, VAT and opening balance adjustments within the allocated time
• Working independently and managing your own workload

Practice Bookkeeper Position Requirements

*MAAT Qualified ideally

*At least 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice is essential
*Experienced in producing VAT returns and doing opening balance adjustments
*Comfortable with cloud based software, especially sage, xero, and QB and technically proficient.
*Old school bookkeeping approach

Practice Bookkeeper Position Remuneration

*This is a full time, permanent position
*Core working hours are 9-5.30 Monday - Friday
*28 days holiday
*£25,000 - £40,000
*On -going training, development and career progression
*Modern office environment
