Are you an experienced Bookkeeper / Bookkeeping Manager from an accountancy practice background, looking to join a good quality independent practice firm based in a Central Location of Zone 1 Central London? Are you keen to manage a small but very successful bookkeeping department, carry out a varied role and manage a small team? Are you looking to work for a growing independent firm with around 14 staff, and work with many challenging and interesting SME clients from various sectors? Your role will be split 60% bookkeeping and 40% payroll. Your bookkeeping duties will include managing the Bookkeeping department and reviewing work, as well as carrying out hands on bookkeeping duties. You will also be expected to review the work of juniors and manage them. You will use sage and Excel for bookkeeping duties. You will also be responsible for processing 45 small payrolls each month, using Earnie software although training will be given if required. This will be a client facing role so you will communicate with and meet your clients on a regular basis. To be considered for this new role (January 2019) you must have at least 5 years of both bookkeeping and payroll experience and be able to process payrolls from start to finish, including experience of RTI and Auto Enrolment. Ideally you will be a Bookkeeping Manager or Senior Bookkeeping, with experience managing a small team / department. You must currently be working in a small or medium sized accountancy practice firm and be looking to work in a small and friendly firm environment. It would be an advantage if you had experience of Earnie payroll software but training will be provided if necessary. It would also be an advantage if you have experience reviewing work of junior staff.
